Hi, John. I’m oh so honored to be mentioned in the same sentence as Pam Slim and her Escape from Cubicle Nation blog (which helped inspire me to make my big break).

I’m not sure what I said to inspire you, but I wish you the best in your new position with the Sunlight Foundation. Going through with a change like this can be invigorating and just a little scary. I’m glad you have a family who is as supportive of you as my family has been for me. That’s terribly important.

I want to thank you for your thanks! It gives me so much inspiration and energy to see people like you stepping out and making something new and exciting happen.

Although you may not realize it, just by moving forward with your plans, you have given countless others permission to do the same, including your kids if they so choose.
